Answer: 16 years.
What is a "bachelors degree in kinesiology"?
Answer: A bachelors degree which focuses on the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics of human movement, and applications to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation. Includes instruction in biomechanics, motor behavior, motor development and coordination, motor neurophysiology,performance research, rehabilitative therapies, the development of diagnostic and rehabilitative methods and equipment, and related analytical methods and procedures in applied exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation .
What is a nationally certified strength and conditioning specialist?
Answer: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCSs) are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention. I am certified through and am a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Does that mean you are qualified to train individuals and teams of collegiate, olympic and professional athletes?
Answer: Yes, it does.
Do you have a background in sports?
Answer: Yes, I walked on to Angelo State University's football team.
What's so special about that?
Answer: I eventually earned full scholorship, became team captain, recieved All American honors (Associated Press), and was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Lone Star Conference (1992).
Do you ever work with non-athletes (ei...regular people)?
Answer: Every day.
